Fun and informative!
Finally a sports reference book written for a woman's sense of humor! A must read for all "cool chicks" that want to more out of baseball games than just bad hotdogs!

The Curry Book: A Celebration of Memorable Flavors and Irresistible Recipes
Published in Paperback by Houghton Mifflin Co (May, 1997)
Authors: Nancie McDermott, Pauline Cilmi Speers, and Rux Martin
Average review score:

The most used cookbook in my vast collection!
I love curry but could never find a cookbook easy enough to follow. Browsing one day in a bookstore I was drawn to the beautiful cover of this one and had to have it! Starting slowly, I made a few of the recipes that were easy like Deviled Eggs with Cilantro and Curry (Get real, most people HATE deviled eggs) and the Curry Dip. My guests went nuts over both, devouring the platters in minutes! I then progressed to more recipes, all as easy as the previous. McDermott has a beautiful collection of curry recipes from all over the world tailored to the American palette. If you like curry, this one is for you.

The recipes are wonderful and easy to follow.
I've tried about 8 recipes from this book and have loved all of them. A wonderful quick and easy recipe is the curried chicken with sweet and spicy garlic sauce. An incredible, though time consuming, curry is the Thai Mussamum Curry. Enjoy!

Daily Life in the Time of Jesus
Published in Paperback by Servant Publications (June, 1981)
Authors: Henri Daniel-Rops and George Martin
Average review score:

A history of Gospel times that makes the parables come alive
This book was required reading in Bible College. I still regularly read this (excellent cross references) for re-familiarizing myself with Bible Culture from New Testament times. The real Jesus cannot be understood without the context of what life was like, and what his stories meant to people in his day. This book is a rich reference of this type of information.

What a Fantastic Childrens Author!!
Kevin Martin is a fantastic childrens author who writes highly imaginative stories with beautiful illustrations. I was turned on to this book by a friend from work who has a son who just loves this story. I look forward to reading Kevin Martin's future releases as he is truly a children's literary treasure for everyone to enjoy!

A Story The Entire Family Will Enjoy
Daniel and The Ivory Princess is a well thought out story with a fun underwater twist to it. The characters are adorable and lovable. The story teaches a lesson on friendship, working together and being the best that each of us can be. From Daniel to Seavil, from Crystal, The Ivory Princess to Karky the shark the story finds the the best in each of them. It really is a cute story will an ending we can share and discuss with our children on many differnet levels. The illustrations are fun. Kevin visited my sons school last week for Meet the Artist Week. What a delightful two days we shared with Kevin and his wife as he spread his message that with a litle help- we can all reach for the stars! Thanks Kevin! My children love the book!

Recommend to all new "wanna be" critical care Nurses
I have been a Critical Care nurse for more than 15 years and find this book to be one of the best at delivering the facts in a percise and readable manner. I have been recommending it to "new hires" in the Unit at my facility since I first found it.

contains all I need in a pocket sized source
I am a BSN nursing student who has a multitude of books containing information needed to complete clinical paperwork, dragging all of these books back and forth to clinicals was back breaking, this book is a must for any student, it's pocket size and wealth of information is worth every penny paid. I wish the authors would come up with a book like this for every area. I highly recommend this book, and will look forward to others of it's kind

Author: Ann Matthews Martin
Average review score:

a great great great great great great great great book
Dawn can't wait for this trip to California. Besides all the sun andfun, it's Dawn's first visit since jeff, moved back to live with their dad.California is better then dawn can remeber it.The beaches are beatiful, Disneyland is a blast, Californians eat heathy food! Plus Dawn's best friend, sunny, has even started up her own baby-sitters club. After one wonderful week, Dawn begins yo think she might want to....stay in California like Jeff. Dawn's a California girl at heart-but could she really leave Stoneybrook for good?

i live where the story is, so i know that the details r rite
this book is all about dawn's decision on whether to live in stonybrook or california. Dawn is usually in anaheim california, where I live, and visits the Anaheim Stadium (now Edison Stadium) Disneyland. . . and more. Most of the setails are right, but it is kind of outdated. still a very good book. i recommend reading the first book first, though.
